This is an exciting opportunity to join our leadership team as a strategic leader, focusing on delivering outstanding teaching and learning while supporting the social, emotional, and mental health needs of our pupils.
The ideal candidate will be a proactive, dynamic, and enthusiastic leader who can effectively manage and lead a team to achieve high standards. You will have a proven track record of successful leadership and management, with a strong understanding of the primary curriculum and its application in supporting pupils with complex needs.
The role offers a unique chance to contribute to the development of our pupils, enhance the services offered by the PRU, and further develop your leadership skills. You will be supported by a friendly and enthusiastic staff team, with opportunities for professional development and a proactive Management Committee.
About the RoleThe Teacher in Charge will be responsible for all aspects of day-to-day site management, including leading and managing the team based at the site, delivering inreach and outreach interventions, and developing effective relationships with colleagues in mainstream schools.
The role also provides opportunities to provide training and advice to colleagues in mainstream schools on behaviour management policies and strategies as part of the services commissioned from the PRU by the local authority.
