Teaching Assistant

Connex Education is working with a large number of primary schools in Burton and surrounding areas, seeking Teaching Assistants for day-to-day and long-term cover work.
Key Responsibilities- Classroom Support: Assist teachers with classroom management, supervise students, maintain order, and ensure a positive learning environment.
- Instructional Assistance: Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce lessons taught by the teacher, provide additional explanations, or offer extra practice on assignments.
- Resource Preparation: Help prepare teaching materials, such as visual aids, worksheets, or other resources needed for lessons.
- Administrative Tasks: Assist with administrative duties such as taking attendance, grading assignments, and organizing classroom materials.
- Special Needs Support: Work closely with students who have special educational needs or disabilities, providing personalized assistance and accommodations to help them succeed academically and socially.
- Behavioral Support: Help implement behavior management strategies and support students in developing positive social skills.
- Communication: Communicate with parents or caregivers to provide updates on student progress, behavior, and any concerns.
- Assessment: Assist teachers in assessing student performance by administering tests, quizzes, or other assessments and recording results.
- You must have previous experience either working in school or with young people.
- All applicants must have a Level 2 in Teaching and Learning or be working towards this.
- You must have a current enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to provide a new one.
- Be able to provide references for all work in the last 2 years.
