Role Overview:

The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep and repair of the premises, overseeing minor projects within the site, and ensuring compliance with all necessary regulations for site operations.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining a safe, welcoming, and hygienic environment that meets the needs of the individuals we support.
  • Keeping accurate records and reports related to site maintenance.
  • Conducting regular audits of quality systems as required.
  • Performing inspections and addressing any issues with contractors that do not meet standards.
  • Ensuring adherence to national regulations and inspection standards relevant to this type of establishment.
  • Managing your workload effectively to provide proactive maintenance services.
  • Collaborating with the Regional Facilities Manager on larger projects and seeking assistance with technical matters.
  • Identifying and proposing projects that enhance the functionality and efficiency of the facility.
  • Ensuring that all projects are completed on schedule and that areas used by contractors are left in good condition.
  • Overseeing the maintenance of the grounds.

What You Bring:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Knowledge of building and maintenance practices.
  • Experience in compliance and record-keeping.
  • A background in a trade is preferred but not mandatory.
