Financial Controller

AtkinsClarke is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Controller to join their UK arm of a global manufacturing business based near Telford. As a key member of the senior management team, you will be responsible for leading finance, accounting, and IT activities, driving strategic growth, and supporting business performance in a highly autonomous role.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the UK finance team and deliver management accounting, financial reporting, and analysis to drive business performance.
- Manage forecasting, budgeting, and strategic financial planning processes.
- Oversee working capital, cash management, and customer credit management.
- Handle standard costing, efficiency analysis, and investment appraisals.
- Partner closely with the UK Managing Director, providing financial insights to support decision-making.
- Evaluate commercial pricing, tender appraisals, and procurement contracts.
- Ensure compliance with audit, taxation, statutory reporting, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage payroll, pensions, employee benefits, and treasury functions.
- Ensure robust ForEx, banking, and financing activities.
- Manage insurance arrangements and ensure regulatory compliance.
The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated and highly driven finance professional, ideally ACMA/ACA/ACCA qualified, with working knowledge in a manufacturing environment. Proven leadership experience in a senior finance role within manufacturing is essential. Strong commercial and financial acumen, with the ability to influence at all levels, is also required. Advanced proficiency in Excel, MS Office, and SAP ERP is necessary.
