About the Role

This is a key senior role within Quilter, responsible for managing our private client investment management teams across our 10 UK regional offices. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining an up-to-date business plan for the private client investment management teams, as agreed with the CEO.

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop and maintain an up-to-date business plan for the private client investment management teams.
  • Agree individual annual targets and objectives of each investment management team and monitor performance against these targets.
  • Work closely with QCFP to ensure connectivity and alignment between Investment Managers and Financial Planners.
  • Oversee the maintenance of appropriate levels of training and competence for all relevant individuals within the investment management population.
  • Ensure the provision of appropriate flows of information and administrative services to the investment management teams.
  • Monitor investment performance of the portfolios managed by the investment management teams.
  • Authorise variations from the Company's standard fee charging schedules.
  • Liaise with the CEO, Sales and Marketing to develop and implement new business opportunities.
  • Attend the Executive Committee and liaise with other committee members to assist in achieving the committee's objectives.

Management Accountabilities

  • Ensure the regional teams operate in compliance with all relevant legislation, rules, codes of conduct and in-house policies and procedures.
  • Ensure the team is managed within its agreed budget and regularly review resourcing requirements.
  • Ensure that Heads of Office are recruiting employees who are competent and relevant for the position.
  • Ensure that employees receive appropriate training and coaching, as well as adequate supervision and monitoring.
  • Regularly review the performance of employees and ensure that appropriate performance management or disciplinary action is dealt with in a prompt and fair manner.

We are looking for a highly experienced and skilled individual who can lead our private client investment management teams and drive business growth. The successful candidate will have a strong track record of leadership and management, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Professional qualifications as specified by the relevant regulatory authority and the Company's T&C Scheme.
  • A professional attitude at all times.
  • A minimum of 3-4 nights a month away from home.
