Lead Data Scientist

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our high-profile data science team, shaping the future of insurance through cutting-edge analytics. As a centre of excellence in our Global Data Science Department, we provide new data-driven insights that improve decision making across the Aviva Group.

You'll work with internal and external stakeholders to understand business problems and define, scope, and deliver solutions using the latest data science techniques. You'll have the license to be creative in researching and designing solutions, leading your team to explore new and innovative ways of generating value from data and presenting findings back to your stakeholders.

We're looking for a creative thinker and problem solver with strong analytical and numerical ability. Relevant experience of solving complex problems using data science, including statistical modelling or using a programming language such as Python, SQL, R, or C++ or similar, is essential.

Starting salary: £40,000 - £60,000 National or £50,000 - £70,000 London (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
