The Head of Nursing is a critical role that contributes to the ongoing development and delivery of Ty Hafan's charitable objectives by providing strong operational leadership for all aspects of nursing and clinical services.
This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to make a tangible and lasting difference to the experiences of the children and families who use our service.
About YouWe are looking for a passionate and credible clinical leader who can demonstrate a high degree of integrity, with a proven track record of maintaining high professional standards.
The ideal candidate will be a qualified registered Nurse and have:
- significant leadership and management experience in a paediatric setting
- the ability to make effective clinical decisions in complex care settings
- experience in the development and implementation of strategic and operational plans, adjusting plans and resources accordingly
- a demonstrable track record of success in shaping and delivering change initiatives, project management, and service improvements
- experience of working directly with regulatory bodies, with awareness of the regulations and standards that govern the independent healthcare sector
- excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with a range of stakeholders and diverse groups of people
- problem solving skills and ability to respond in an agile manner to sudden and unexpected demands
- strong understanding of clinical governance and risk, with the ability to horizon scan to anticipate and mitigate risks before problems arise
- knowledge and experience in applying safeguarding legislation
- excellent time management skills, able to prioritise workload effectively
- an understanding and empathy for the needs of children and young people with life-limiting conditions and complex needs
