About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our esteemed client in Cardiff. As a key member of the culinary team, you will be responsible for supporting the Head Chef in daily operations, ensuring smooth service delivery, and maintaining the highest standards of quality control.

About the Job:

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a busy and dynamic kitchen environment, where you will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the Head Chef in daily operations and ensuring smooth service delivery
  • Maintaining the highest standards of quality control, including checking of all consumables leaving the kitchen
  • Adhering to all company Health & Safety standards and policies
  • Working as part of a team to deliver exceptional culinary experiences
  • Developing and implementing new menu ideas and culinary concepts
  • Training and mentoring junior staff members

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Previous experience as a Sous Chef in a fine dining or gastro restaurant environment
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • Excellent culinary skills, with a passion for creating innovative and delicious dishes
  • Ability to work well under pressure and maintain a calm and composed demeanor in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of quality control
