About the Job

This role will sit within Data Architecture which is part of the wider Group Architecture function. You will be working to build Aviva's market data strategies to deliver the global ambition for data that gives competitive advantages through data.

  • Data Roadmap Development: Define data roadmaps with a 5 to 10-year horizon, balancing known business needs alongside enabling simplification.
  • Sophisticated Decision-Making: Make highly sophisticated decisions considerate of multiple factors, including near-term delivery with longer-term sustainability.
  • Influencing Stakeholders: Influence through building positive relationships and strong communication adapted to the audience environment.
  • Data Expertise: Expertise in all things data, including lifecycle, technologies, data-patterns, insights, analytics, machine learning, master and reference data management, integration, data warehousing, NoSQL, data quality, metadata, and data compliance.

You will lead on driving the roadmap with strong awareness of business opportunities and constraints, define data products, and advise how the business utilises these efficiently. Alongside engaging with senior leadership to convey the opportunities available from data, support data innovation and guide the prioritisation of development to build the best business outcomes.

About the Salary

The salary for this role is circa £90,000 national and circa £120,000 London (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications). In addition to the base salary, there is also a bonus opportunity of up to 12% of annual salary, depending on your performance and Aviva's.
