Mental Health Social Worker Opportunity

We are seeking a qualified Mental Health Social Worker to join our team at North Lincolnshire Council. The successful candidate will work closely with adults experiencing mental ill health, adopting a multi-disciplinary approach to ensure their health and social care needs are met.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and passionate professional to make a real difference in people's lives. As a Mental Health Social Worker, you will be working closely with external partners such as police, fire, hospitals, community mental health professionals and private and third sector agencies to support individuals to feel safe, supported and in control of their own lives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct assessments to identify individual needs
  • Co-produce support plans with service users and their carers
  • Undertake reviews to ensure ongoing support meets changing needs
  • Carry out Mental Capacity Assessments and make best interest decisions
  • Offer advice and guidance to service users and their carers
  • Commission packages of care to meet identified needs
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A degree in Social Work or related field
  • Experience of working with individuals with mental health conditions
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, and Mental Health Act 1983
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

The salary for this position is £30,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience.
