Job Summary: Advanced Health Nursing Practitioner

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Health Nursing Practitioner to join our team at University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust. The successful candidate will provide high-quality care to patients with Multiple Sclerosis, using their advanced knowledge and skills to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carrying out telephone assessments, face-to-face assessments of patients with MS, and formulating plans of care and support.
  • Providing specialist information to patients, carers, and other healthcare professionals on the management of Multiple Sclerosis.
  • Acting as an independent nurse prescriber, able to distribute repeat DMT prescriptions for MS patients with support from the MS consultant team.

Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have:
  • A strong background in nursing, preferably with experience in neurological or multiple sclerosis care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
