About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Cambridge Belfry Hotel & Spa. As a key member of our kitchen brigade, you will be responsible for leading by example and providing guidance and mentorship to your team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensuring the quality and delivery of food leaving the kitchen meets our high standards.
- Providing guidance and mentorship to junior chefs and kitchen staff.
- Managing kitchen operations and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
- Working closely with the Head Chef and other senior kitchen staff to develop and implement new menu ideas and kitchen procedures.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie in a hotel or high-volume operation.
- Strong knowledge of GP, stock control, costs, and wastage.
- Excellent people management and leadership skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain a calm and professional demeanor in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
