We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Cambridge Belfry Hotel & Spa. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading by example and providing guidance and mentorship to your colleagues.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure the quality and delivery of food leaving the kitchen meets the highest standards.
- Manage kitchen operations, including inventory, stock control, and cost management.
- Develop and implement menus, recipes, and cooking techniques to enhance the dining experience.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to achieve exceptional service standards.
- Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team of chefs and kitchen staff.
- Previous experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie in a hotel environment or high-volume operation.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, presentation, and plating techniques.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
