Job Title: Fitness Instructor

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Fitness Instructor to join our team at Hillbrow Health & Wellbeing. As a Fitness Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality service to our members, inspiring and motivating them to achieve their health and fitness goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide supervision of the gym floor and undertake various gym appointments, including gym programming, reviews, and floor-based coaching.
  • Engage with members to increase retention and provide guidance and support to help them achieve their goals.
  • Deliver the highest quality service throughout the Centre, inspiring and motivating customers to increase retention.

Person Specification

Disposition (Essential)

  • Customer-focused with excellent communication skills.
  • Driven and enthusiastic with a genuine interest in health and fitness.
  • Pro-active and good organisational skills.
  • Team player with leadership skills.

Experience (Essential)

  • Similar work environment with experience in a gym or fitness setting.

Qualifications (Essential)

  • L2 Fitness Instructing qualification.

Specialist Knowledge (Essential)

  • Knowledge of behaviour change and goal setting.
  • Ability to undertake preventative maintenance on equipment.

Skills (Essential)

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Computer competent with MS Office software and email.

Other (Essential)

  • Flexibility to adapt to changing demands of the business.
  • Ability to follow Wave Active Limited Policies and Procedures.
