Job Title: Acute Medicine Consultant

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Acute Medicine Consultant to join our team at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital King's Lynn NHSFT.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and dedicated individual to contribute to the delivery of high-quality care to patients within the trust. As an Acute Medicine Consultant, you will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and expertise in the management of acute medical patients.

You will work closely with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement evidence-based care pathways, and contribute to the further development of the Acute Medicine service. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the continued delivery of high-quality care to patients within the trust.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide rapid assessment and management of acute medical patients
  • Stabilise and manage patients admitted with medical emergencies
  • Develop emergency services and speciality teams
  • Work in the Ambulatory Emergency Care unit to avoid admissions
  • Participate in the weekend General Medical on-call rota
Person Specification
  • MBBS or equivalent medical qualification
  • MD or PhD
  • Full Registration and a licence to practise with the General Medical Council
  • Evidence of specific and broad training in Acute medicine and/or General medicine
