Acute Medicine Specialist

We are seeking an exceptional Consultant in Acute Medicine to join our team at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital King's Lynn NHSFT. As a key member of our Acute Medicine service, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to patients and contributing to the further development of our service.
Key Responsibilities- Provide rapid assessment and management of acute medical patients
- Stabilise and manage patients admitted with medical emergencies
- Carry out post-take ward rounds and maintain effective communication with the on-call team
- Develop emergency services and work collaboratively with other departments
- Participate in the weekend General Medical on-call rota
- MBBS or equivalent medical qualification
- MRCP Part 1 and Part 2 or equivalent experience
- Full Registration and a licence to practise with the General Medical Council
- Entry on GMC Specialist Register or eligible for entry within six months
We offer a comprehensive range of specialist, acute, obstetrics, and community-based services to around 331,000 people across West and North Norfolk, North Cambs, and South Lincs. Our new electronic patient record (EPR) will replace paper-based patient records from 2026, leading to better, safer, joined-up care at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital and beyond.
