We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Child Welfare Professional to join our team at Leicestershire County Council. This is an exciting opportunity for a Newly Qualified Social Worker to develop their skills and knowledge in a supportive and inclusive environment.

About the Role

As a Child Welfare Professional, you will work with children and families to provide high-quality social work services. You will be responsible for assessing and supporting the needs of vulnerable children, working closely with other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To assess and plan interventions to support children and families in need
  • To work collaboratively with other professionals to deliver effective social work services
  • To provide emotional support and guidance to children and families
  • To maintain accurate records and reports

Requirements:

  • A Social Work degree or equivalent qualification
  • Registration with Social Work England or expectation of registration in 2024
  • Valid UK driving license and access to a vehicle
  • Experience of working with children and families
  • Knowledge of childcare legislation and procedures

Salary and Benefits:

The salary for this role is £31,074 until full Social Work England registration is achieved, increasing to £41,373 per annum (pro-rata for part-time) once registered, plus a Market Premium of £3,283. We also offer a range of benefits, including flexible working arrangements and opportunities for professional development.
