Senior Electrical Project Manager Opportunity

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Electrical Project Manager to lead the electrical element on a fast-paced and complex project in Oxford. Our client, a leading M&E contractor, is looking for a skilled professional to manage the electrical aspect of a £30m MEP scheme on a new build laboratory and pharma space.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design Management: Reviewing designs, liaising with the client, main contractor, and consultants
  • Procurement: Managing subcontractors, kit, and plant
  • Technical Submittals: Ensuring compliance with project requirements
  • RFIs: Liaising with the client team, main contractor, and subcontractors
  • Value Engineering: Identifying opportunities for cost savings
  • Programming: Managing the project schedule using MS Project or Asta Project
  • Health & Safety: Ensuring a safe working environment
  • Commercial Responsibility: Assisting with subcontractor variation accounts
  • Team Coordination: Overseeing junior engineers, construction managers, and supervisors
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a senior management role
  • Experience managing projects to a minimum of £6M within your own discipline
  • Familiarity with working in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience working in the commercial sector
  • Subcontracting experience with main contractors such as ISg, Lend Lease, Sir Robert McAlpine, and Mace
