About Family Link Charity

Family Link Charity provides leisure opportunities for children and young people with disabilities. We aim to create a safe, fun environment that fosters social skills, confidence, and positive lifelong relationships.

We operate Saturday and holiday clubs in the London Borough of Bromley for 6–25-year-olds with medical needs, physical, learning, and complex disabilities. Our staff are highly trained to support young people's care and health needs.

Saturday and Holiday Clubs

We run two Saturdays per month and 2-3 sessions per week in the school holidays. Our activities cater to each young person's individual needs and include external entertainers, day trips to places of interest like bowling, theatre, cinema, and parks.

Main Duties
  • Ensure stimulating activities meet young people's individual needs.
  • Create an exciting and enjoyable atmosphere.
  • Attend to young people's personal care where necessary.
  • Encourage independence and self-confidence.
  • Maintain positive relationships and open communication with parents/carers.
  • Undertake additional training as required.
  • Maintain confidentiality and follow our policies and guidelines.
Requirements
  • At least 1 year of experience working with young people with disabilities or a keen interest in this sector.
Desirable Skills
  • Relevant childcare qualification (e.g., NVQ2/equivalent) or above.
Remuneration

£12 per hour.
