Electrical Engineer - Shift Lead

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join our Guinness Packaging Engineering Team in Belfast. As a Shift Lead, you will play a key role in improving line efficiency by minimizing unplanned stoppages and improving planned maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Contribute to the achievement and improvement of Asset Care KPI's through efficient and effective maintenance, repair, problem solving, and improvement of assets and their availability across site.
  2. Support improvement projects focused on compliance, waste reduction, cash savings, and performance reliability.
  3. Manage Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules, ensuring accurate completion to standards and SAP input.
  4. Support capital work, including installation, commissioning, and early equipment management.
  5. Work with Operators, Reliability Engineers, and Shift Managers on situational problem-solving using root cause analysis.
  6. Participate in Daily Tier meetings to address and resolve performance issues.
  7. Proactively anticipate and address issues, driving solutions with the wider engineering team.
  8. Conduct Daily Craft Inspections and collaborate with Shift Managers to optimize machine efficiency and perform repairs during downtime.

Requirements

  1. Electrical HNC or equivalent
  2. Time served electrical qualification (NVQ level 3 etc.)
  3. 17/18th Edition

Working Arrangements

This role requires you to work a 42hr week, 24/7 cover consisting of x2 day shifts, x2 night shifts, on a rolling 4 on 4 off basis.
