Job Title: Multi Skilled Engineer

Müller UK & Ireland is a leading dairy company with a strong presence in Europe. As a Multi Skilled Engineer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and improving the efficiency of our machinery and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. To diagnose and repair faults in machinery and equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum productivity.
  2. To observe and report on machinery or component defects, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  3. To service, adjust, and repair machinery and equipment using the necessary tools and techniques.
  4. To examine machinery and equipment, assessing their condition and performance, and developing plans for improvement.
  5. To carry out planned and preventative maintenance to agreed schedules, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  6. To interpret and implement technical service instructions, ensuring accurate and timely completion of tasks.
  7. To take on additional training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
  8. To use the CMMS stores system to accurately record parts taken out, ensuring accurate inventory management.
  9. To comply with stores systems and procedures, maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  10. To assess records and associated costs for repairs, identifying areas for cost reduction and process improvement.
  11. To order replacement parts as required, ensuring timely delivery and minimal disruption to operations.
  12. To liaise with manufacturers of specialist machinery and equipment, resolving technical issues and implementing improvements.
  13. To support the site's roadmaps for Quality, Health and Safety, Environmental Management, Engineering, and Autonomous Maintenance.
  14. To use and support simple 5WHY CI techniques, RCA techniques, and departmental 5s programmes.
  15. To use and support Reliability Centred Maintenance techniques, ensuring maximum uptime and efficiency.
  16. To support the department with internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  17. To use the CMMS system effectively, recording information accurately and using historical data for improvement initiatives.
  18. To use CMMS historical data for fault trending and quick resolution for fault finding.
Requirements:
  1. Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship.
  2. Educated to ONC/HNC or equivalent in either Mechanical or Electrical discipline.
  3. Proven experience within a maintenance environment.
  4. Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  5. Effective planner and organiser.
  6. Strong ability to make logical decisions that will resolve potential problems.
  7. Positive attitude with a 'can do' approach.
  8. Ability to prioritise own workload to achieve operational and personal targets.
