The Real Greek is seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join our team and help drive our culinary excellence. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our menu is executed to the highest standards, while maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, ensuring that all food is prepared to the highest standards.
  • Support the Head Chef in menu planning, food costing, and inventory management.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating a strong work ethic and commitment to excellence.
  • Develop and implement training programs for kitchen staff, ensuring that they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed.
  • Monitor and maintain kitchen equipment, ensuring that it is in good working order.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop and implement new menu ideas and concepts.

Essential Skills and Knowledge:

  • Proven experience in a senior kitchen role, with a strong track record of success.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Strong attention to detail, with a focus on quality and consistency.
  • Ability to work under pressure, with a calm and composed demeanor.
  • Basic IT skills, with the ability to use kitchen software and systems.

Food Quality, Presentation, and Hygiene:

  • Ensure that all food is prepared to the highest standards, with a focus on quality, presentation, and safety.
  • Monitor and maintain kitchen hygiene standards, ensuring that the kitchen is clean and safe at all times.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop and implement new menu ideas and concepts.

Development of the Kitchen Team:

  • Support the Head Chef in training and developing kitchen staff, ensuring that they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed.
  • Develop and implement training programs for kitchen staff, focusing on quality, safety, and customer service.
