We operate at over 31 sites throughout Central Scotland, the North East of England, and East Anglia, with a committed and engaged team of over 350 employees working in a variety of different roles delivering a unique combination of quality materials and excellent service for our customers.
Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and technically skilled Sales and Technical Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing existing customer relationships, developing new business opportunities, and providing technical support for our dry mortar and render products.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage ongoing customer relationships and develop new leads and projects through building and maintaining relationships with clients.
- Provide product and technical advice to both new and existing customers, ensuring they have the necessary support, literature, and samples.
- Proactively research and develop sales opportunities.
- Promote products and systems to generate leads through architects, approved applicators, builders' merchants, distributors, housebuilders, and the self-build market.
- Carry out on-site visits to support architects, applicators, and contractors, ensuring correct product specification and usage.
- Work collaboratively with the full commercial team on lead generation activities and business development strategies.
Requirements
- A minimum of 2-3 years of sales experience.
- Experience within mortars and renders technical field would be advantageous.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly.
- Ability to develop long-term relationships with customers through excellent service and support.
- Strong sales and business development skills, with the ability to influence decisions.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong work ethic with the ability to perform under pressure.
- Excellent time management skills, with the ability to work independently and flexibly, organizing own workload to achieve targets.
- Ability to function as part of a team and support colleagues.
