Development Management Director

The successful Design Manager/Development Manager will oversee the progression of schemes through planning and contract execution to site commencement. Key responsibilities include:
Key Responsibilities:- Liaise with the Land & Planning Manager at critical stages of planning submissions.
- Identify, appoint, and manage external design teams to meet project briefs and ensure design programs are achieved.
- Appoint and coordinate relevant testing and reports to facilitate design completion and planning.
- Liaise with stakeholders to ensure timely information exchange.
- Collaborate with the Commercial Team to ensure designs align with project budgets.
- Coordinate planning submissions and condition discharge.
- Research and explore design options to enhance build quality and identify value engineering opportunities.
- Adhere to Integrated Management System (IMS) requirements, procedures, and policies.
- Demonstrate knowledge of the design process and construction design stages with a Main Contractor or house builder.
- Utilize design and project management software effectively.
- Understand the planning process, including Section Agreements and their timelines.
- Apply knowledge of key design principles, such as fire and acoustic requirements.
- Familiarize yourself with current Building Regulations, SAP calculations, and their impact on design.
This role requires a strong understanding of the design process and construction design stages, as well as the ability to utilize design and project management software effectively.
