Payroll Assistant Manager

Portfolio Payroll is seeking a highly skilled Payroll Assistant Manager to join their team in Central London. As a key member of the payroll team, you will be responsible for supporting the Payroll Manager in the day-to-day supervision and guidance of the payroll team.
Key Responsibilities:- Process end-to-end client payrolls on a weekly and monthly basis, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Onboard new clients, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a smooth transition.
- Review and analyze payroll data, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
- Act as the first point of contact for technical and complex payroll queries, providing expert guidance and support.
- Support the Payroll Manager with project work, including payroll process improvements and system implementations.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their payroll needs are met and exceeded.
- Extensive end-to-end payroll experience, with a strong understanding of payroll processes and procedures.
- Experience of processing multi-frequency clients' payrolls or in-house multi-sited payroll with large volumes.
- Strong people management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
