Job Title: Management Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled Management Accountant to join our team at Crest Nicholson plc. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the general ledger and MIS database, supporting the Financial and Management Reporting and Forecasting/Budgeting process.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Maintain the general ledger and MIS database to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  2. Assist in the production of the monthly Board Pack and monthly Management Pack, providing insightful financial analysis and recommendations.
  3. Support the completion of the Half Year and Full Year end Statutory Reporting Packs and Tax Packs, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  4. Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure a smooth audit process.
  5. Attend the monthly sales & marketing cost review meeting, maintaining forecasts against budget with variance analysis.
  6. Calculate sales executive commission and bonus payments on a monthly basis.
  7. Review accruals and prepayments, ensuring appropriate audit evidence and robust balance sheet reconciliations.
  8. Liaise with managers to resolve bought ledger queries, including invoices awaiting approval and retrospective POs.
  9. Cover for the financial accountant during annual leave, ensuring continuity of financial operations.
