Job Title: Transport Supervisor, Transport Planner

Job Summary:

SG Personnel is seeking an experienced Transport Supervisor/Transport Planner to manage a small Warehousing and Distribution function within a manufacturing business.

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of 6 warehouse operatives and 1 driver, overseeing warehousing and transport operations on site. This includes:

  • Coordinating the movement of goods and materials within the warehouse and to external locations
  • Ensuring efficient use of resources and minimizing costs
  • Developing and implementing effective transportation plans and schedules
  • Monitoring and maintaining accurate records of inventory and transportation activities

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience in a transport or logistics management role
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Knowledge of transportation regulations and laws
