We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Impact Specialist to join our team at Deep Science Ventures. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking organization that creates, spins out, and invests in science companies.

About the Company

Deep Science Ventures operates in four sectors: Pharmaceuticals, Climate, Agriculture, and Computation. Our approach combines available scientific knowledge with founder-type scientists to create high-impact ventures.

Your Responsibilities

You will work closely with our team to develop a business model for secure and scalable geological CO2 storage. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing a comprehensive understanding of the post-capture CO2 storage supply chain;
  • Designing a proprietary toolset to optimize CO2 storage deployment;
  • Building relationships with government, regulatory, and research institutions to drive innovation;
  • Maintaining excellent communication and negotiation skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have experience in building and scaling organizations, fundraising, corporate governance, and board reporting. They will also have strong relationships with relevant institutions and a broad knowledge of the energy transition and climate-tech sectors.

About You

We offer a competitive salary of £50,000 - £70,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as access to optimised tools, resources, and processes to help create high-impact ventures. You will also receive up to £250k in investment to incorporate the new venture and develop early proof-of-concept data. Majority equity stake in the new company is guaranteed, along with continuous post-spinout support.
