About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Yard Person to join our expanding Plant & Fleet Solutions Service team based in Castleford.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the yard area and workshop are kept clean and tidy, and that plant and vehicles are parked safely. You will also be responsible for preparing, minor repairs, painting, and steam cleaning of plant and vehicles, as well as carrying out forklift usage in the yard and workshop.

You will work closely with the workshop staff to move and prepare plant, facilitate 3rd party working on site by service providers, and control external collections and deliveries within the yard.

As a Yard Person, you will be responsible for ensuring that all Safely, Healthy, Environmental & Quality (SHEQ) policies and procedures are adhered to, adopting a safe method of working at all times.

About You

We are looking for someone with previous experience as a Yard Operative or a similar role, who has the usage of steam cleaning equipment on plant and vehicles, and vehicle valeting and general preparation for hire.

You will also need a driving license and a Fork Lift License 3 ton (Counter Balance) is desirable but training will be given.

Effective communication skills are essential for this role, as you will be working closely with the workshop staff and other teams.
