Sir Robert McAlpine is seeking a highly skilled Senior Package Engineer to join our team. As a key member of the project team, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, coordination, and management of sub-contractors in various trades within the project area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the design, coordination, and management of sub-contractors in various trades within the project area.
  • Interface with internal departments and external agencies, such as architects, engineers, construction workers, sub-contractors, client agents, clerk of works, and site staff.
  • Coordinate and manage sub-contractors to ensure SRM obligations are understood and discharged.
  • Organize and conduct regular site progress meetings with sub-contractors to monitor progress, quality, and safety.
  • Ensure the Chief Engineer and Project Manager/Project Director are updated on all issues.

Requirements:

  • Degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field.
  • Ability to prepare a 3-week look-ahead program with assistance from the project planner.
  • Proven working experience in package management.
  • Experience as a Temporary Works Coordinator would be an advantage.
  • Knowledge of building products, construction details, and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards.
  • Professional membership in a construction industry-related organization (e.g., ICE, CIOB, RICS, ICE, CIBSE, IStructE, etc).
