About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef/Cook to join our team at HC-One - Branston Court. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for managing the kitchen team to cook and serve nutritious, healthy meals that our residents will love.

You will provide great choice, considering cultural preferences and special dietary requirements. Your attention to detail and ability to manage kitchen supplies, check and maintain kitchen equipment, and complete necessary paperwork such as COSHH and HACCP will be essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen.

Occasionally, you will help cater for ad hoc special events, such as 100th birthday celebrations, summer BBQs, and Christmas parties. You will work closely with central support teams on nutrition standards compliance and have a strong focus on resident wellbeing.

About You

We are looking for someone with an S/NVQ2 in Catering & Hospitality or Professional Cookery, a minimum Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate, and an understanding of Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points. You will be a brilliant, positive individual with excellent communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure.

You will be organized, able to meet service times, and thrive on autonomy to plan and prioritize. You will have a knack for following recipes perfectly and be truly considerate and kind in your interactions with residents and colleagues.
