PM290: Associate Director - Transport Planning

We are seeking an experienced candidate for a senior appointment, reporting directly to the Partners, with a strong working knowledge of development planning (transport) and proven project management skills.

  • Providing high-quality technical transport and highways advice on numerous development planning projects.
  • Planning and managing projects, including setting and meeting deadlines/budgets alongside providing a high-quality product.
  • Contributing to the commercial success of the business and managing/developing key relationships.
  • Providing input to the business management team, including developing business plans and delivering agreed targets.
  • Taking responsibility for specific aspects of the day-to-day running of the London office, including dealing with administrative/non-technical issues alongside technical projects.
  • Establishing and maintaining excellent internal and external relationships, ensuring effective communication of objectives and plans both orally and in writing.

Applicants should have:

  • Circa 10 years of transport planning background in a development planning role.
  • Sound technical skills/knowledge in the transport planning field (e.g. Transport Assessments, Travel Plans, highway design, modelling etc.).
  • Technical knowledge and proficiency in all relevant industry software.
  • Experience in the successful delivery of profitable multiple projects of varying scales and complexity, including the management/leading of project teams.
  • Experience of developing and maintaining client relationships and business contacts.

This role provides an opportunity to take a more visible and higher profile role with a fast-growing and highly successful business with genuine potential for strategic involvement in developing the business.

Salary: £80,000 - £100,000 per annum, depending on experience.
