Job Title: Senior Countermeasure Development Engineer

Join MASS Consultants, a leading technology company, as a Senior Countermeasure Development Engineer. In this role, you will be part of our Electronic Warfare Support Group (EWOS), responsible for providing technical advice and support to customers on countermeasure development, engineering support, and delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain in-house countermeasure simulation software tool, CounterWorX, using programming languages such as MATLAB, Simulink, and Python.
  • Model physical interactions and phenomena across dynamic simulations, ensuring accurate and reliable results.
  • Collaborate with the software development team to integrate new features and ensure seamless software delivery.
  • Manage technical work for junior team members, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Line manage junior engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
Requirements:
  • Experience with programming languages such as MATLAB, Simulink, and Python.
  • Strong understanding of physics and mathematical principles, with a degree-level qualification in a relevant field.
  • Experience with at least one of Electro-Optics (EO), Infra-Red (IR), or Radio Frequency (RF) sensors and systems, within a defence setting.
  • Ability to analyse, design, model, and verify countermeasure techniques across various real-world scenarios.
  • Experience with model development, including design, build, integration, test, and deployment.
