Job Title: Senior Countermeasure Development Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Countermeasure Development Engineer to join our Electronic Warfare Support Group (EWOS). As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining our in-house countermeasure simulation software tool, CounterWorX.

About the Role

As a Senior Countermeasure Development Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including the development of new countermeasure techniques and the analysis of existing systems. You will be responsible for modelling physical interactions and phenomena across dynamic simulations, and for working with our software development team to ensure that all releasable software products meet the required standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain our in-house countermeasure simulation software tool, CounterWorX
  • Model physical interactions and phenomena across dynamic simulations
  • Work with our software development team to ensure that all releasable software products meet the required standards
  • Analyse and design countermeasure techniques
  • Verify countermeasure techniques across a variety of real-world scenarios
Requirements
  • Experience using programming software (MATLAB/Simulink/Python etc.)
  • Experience in at least two stages of model development (Design, Build, Integration, Test, Deployment etc.)
  • Experience of simulation requirements, configuration and analysis reports
Desirable Experience
  • Experience modelling/programming RF/EOIR countermeasure techniques (platform protection)
  • Mentoring and coaching junior team members
  • Experience optimising model performance
Security Clearance

Due to the highly secure nature of the projects that you will be involved with, you must be:

  • A UK national and eligible to work in the UK
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain a UK Government Security Check (SC) clearance
