Role Description
GSL Education - London seeks a highly skilled and empathetic Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant to support students with diverse learning needs in a 2-form entry primary school in Lewisham.
About the Job
- Provide individualised support to students with SEMH needs, promoting academic and personal growth.
- Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that caters to the diverse needs of all students.
- Collaborate with educators to develop and implement personalised support plans and behaviour strategies.
- Establish strong relationships with students to enhance their confidence and independence.
- Offer additional support across various age groups and learning levels as needed.
Requirements and Skills
- Desirable: Previous experience in an SEMH or SEN-focused role; however, newly graduated individuals are encouraged to apply.
- Essential: Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
- Ability to work both as part of a team and independently.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- A proactive, compassionate, and resilient approach to supporting children.
