**Role Summary:**

TimePlan Education is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in our partner school in Lambeth, London.

**Job Description:**

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with experienced teachers and therapists to provide personalized support to students with various needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Profound Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD), and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD). Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing one-to-one support to students with SEN, helping them with their educational and social development.
  • Working collaboratively with teachers and therapists to implement individual education plans (IEPs) and tailored learning strategies.
  • Facilitating classroom activities to create a positive and productive learning environment.
  • Encouraging and assisting students in developing essential life skills and social interactions.
  • Modifying educational materials and approaches to meet the diverse needs of each student.
  • Providing personal care and toileting support to children with complex needs.

**Requirements:**

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience working with children with SEN in a special educational needs setting.
  • A genuine passion for supporting the development and well-being of students.
  • Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills.
  • The ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or special educational needs are desirable but not essential.

**Salary and Benefits:**

We offer a competitive salary of £85-95 per day and ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
