The role of a teaching assistant is pivotal in supporting the dedicated teaching team at our school.

Job Overview

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing academic support to pupils, enhancing their learning experience and promoting their overall development.

We are seeking an experienced teaching assistant to join our team, who possesses excellent literacy and numeracy skills, has high expectations of pupil achievement and can work effectively in partnership with teachers, parents and governors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the class teacher in delivering lessons and managing classroom activities.
  • Assist pupils with their learning, providing individualized support where needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and communicate effectively with parents.
  • Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the development of school policies.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Level 2 qualification in teaching assistance or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • High expectations of pupil achievement and a commitment to raising standards.
Salary and Benefits

This fixed-term contract offers a competitive salary of £24,027 - £24,790 per annum, plus benefits that include:
