Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Restaurant Operations Assistant to join our dynamic team at Great Indian Food. In this role, you will support the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations, ensuring exceptional service standards, and maintaining a positive dining experience for our guests. Your leadership skills will be essential in managing staff, coordinating food production, and fostering a collaborative environment within the restaurant.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in managing daily restaurant operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Supervise and train staff members, promoting a culture of teamwork and hospitality.
- Oversee food production processes to ensure quality and presentation meet our high standards.
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints promptly and professionally to enhance guest satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure efficient service during peak hours.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the restaurant environment.
- Support marketing initiatives to attract new customers and retain existing ones.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a supervisory role within the hospitality industry is preferred.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Knowledge of food production processes and culinary techniques is advantageous.
- Experience in bartending or managing bar operations is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- A passion for providing outstanding customer service and enhancing the dining experience.
