Job Title: Digital Modelling Manager
Job Purpose:
The successful candidate will work independently to design and package vehicle platforms and products, managing a team of digital modellers with diverse skill sets.
Key Responsibilities & Tasks:
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality CAD solutions that meet design and engineering requirements, while adhering to programme timing and budget constraints.
- Manage, develop, and motivate a team of digital modellers to deliver premium CAD solutions.
- Plan and prioritize the workload of the digital modelling team, utilizing permanent and agency resources.
- Provide accurate estimates for resource and time scales to enable efficient programme timing.
- Establish and develop CAD delivery standards to ensure premium CAD delivery.
Supporting Production:
- Ensure the integration of feasibility in design properties prior to downstream engineering.
- Support the development of key cost and efficiency processes with the design studio.
- Support the organization and management of external supply budgets.
- Act as a technical expert for Class A production digital solutions.
- Support the entire design studio and external departments with feasible CAD solutions.
- Monitor and implement technical developments within the industry.
- Drive craftsmanship standards from within the design studio.
- Support the identification of alternative and diverse sources of revenue.
Qualifications & Experience:
The ideal candidate will be fully CAD literate, able to use a range of CAD tools, and PC literate, able to use and understand a range of PC software to support the design process.
