About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and caring Early Years Apprentice to join our Bright Horizons Forest Park Day Nursery team.
Key Responsibilities
- Work as part of a nursery team caring for babies and children up to the age of 5.
- Engage in daily adventures with our children through interactive play, activities, reading, and helping them develop their curious minds through the learning curriculum.
- Communicate with parents daily on their child’s activities.
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment where children feel supported and cared for.
- Create play and learning opportunities that support children’s learning and development.
- Ensure child welfare, protection, health and safety, and safeguarding procedures are followed at all times.
- Work alongside your Assessor, attending all required training for completion of your formal qualification.
- Manage your own time to complete coursework within the given timeframe.
Requirements
- Commitment to completing your Apprenticeship.
- Maths and English qualification GCSE Grade C / Level 4 or above, or Functional Skills Level 2. If not already held, a willingness to complete Functional Skills alongside your Apprenticeship.
- Previous experience working with children is beneficial, but not essential. Relevant experience includes Nursery Bank Staff, Nursery Assistant, Teaching Assistant, Nursery Practitioner, Early Years Educator, Nanny, Childminder, or similar.
- Passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child.
- Able to build trust and strong working relationships with colleagues and parents.
- Able to use a variety of techniques to clearly and successfully communicate with children and adults.
