Transport Operations Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Transport Operations Manager to join our team at Manpower Group (UK). As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of all deliveries from our SCS STARK Hull site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Relationship Building: Foster and maintain strong relationships with colleagues throughout XPO and with other depots to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Operational Administration: Utilize XPO systems to ensure all elements of depot and contract administration are completed in line with site and company requirements.
  • Reporting and Data Analysis: Provide regular reports and submit data as required, relating to finance, KPIs, claims, and health and safety.
  • Resource Management: Ensure resource levels are in line with customer and operational requirements, and make adjustments as necessary.
  • External Liaison: Liaise with external hauliers and agencies to ensure smooth delivery operations.
  • Planning and Coordination: Support and understand the planning function requirements for Hull, and coordinate with other SCS sites at Purfleet and Newport as needed.
  • Customer Service: Foster a strong relationship with customers, ensuring effective communication and resolution of any queries or issues.
  • Operational Support: Make your shift your own by dealing with any operational queries or issues that arise.
  • Team Collaboration: Interactively work with and support other SCS sites, as well as other Timber Group operations, as needed.
  • Driver Management: Ensure all drivers report for duty, and address any defects or issues in a timely manner.
  • Health and Safety: Proactively promote a health and safety culture, and ensure all company policies and procedures are observed.
