The Role:

We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher to join our team at Supply Desk. As a PMLD Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting students with profound and multiple learning difficulties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with teaching assistants and other staff to plan and deliver engaging activities tailored to the needs of students with PMLD.
  • Develop and implement holistic approaches to learning, focusing on individual action plans and strategies that promote meaningful progress for students.
  • Take a lead role in creating and reviewing Individual Education/Behaviour Plans, Risk Assessments, Personal Care, and Therapy Care programmes for a designated group or form.
  • Work in partnership with families, external agencies, and school staff to ensure the best possible support for the students.
  • Foster therapeutic relationships with students, ensuring interactions are tailored to each student's unique needs and abilities.

The Ideal Candidate:
  • Previous experience teaching students with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD) or a passion for supporting students with complex needs.
  • In-depth knowledge of SEN and a commitment to providing high-quality support.
