About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Control Design Engineer to join our team at Hitachi Energy. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for designing and developing control systems for our HVDC technology, which enables efficient and reliable energy transmission over long distances.

As a Control Design Engineer, you will work closely with our team to deliver world-class technology and develop innovative solutions for our customers. Your expertise in control systems, digital technology, and signal processing will be essential in driving the success of our projects.

Responsibilities
  1. Design and develop control systems for HVDC technology, ensuring safe and reliable operations of plants and transmission links.
  2. Collaborate with our team to deliver projects, including design, testing, integration, verification, and deployment.
  3. Develop documentation and provide customer training on our control systems.
  4. Travel internationally for long and short assignments to support our global business.
  5. Adhere to Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity, taking responsibility for your actions and caring for your colleagues and the business.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor or Master's degree in a relevant technical field.
  2. Previous experience working with HVDC projects and control systems.
  3. Strong interest or skills in industrial application development and programming.
  4. Fluency in English, written and spoken.
  5. Experience or strong interest in digital technology, signal processing, and control system design is an advantage.
