Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at International Automotive Components. As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards are met in our products and services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide proactive support and response to customer quality and engineering issues.
  • Understand customer requirements and expectations, and communicate effectively with internal teams to ensure requirements are fully understood.
  • Manage quality and engineering issues throughout the product life cycle, from initiation to end of life.
  • Project manage product quality and engineering requirements, including ISIR, capability studies, AAR, and other relevant processes.
  • Define and specify test equipment and gauging to satisfy quality requirements.
  • Develop and optimize measurement techniques to deliver stable and capable production processes.
  • Support design reviews and prototype builds.
  • Lead teams in preparing Control Plans and supporting Design/Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (D/PFMEA) reviews.
  • Support production team training on customer expectations and quality requirements.
  • Record, progress, respond to, and close out customer concerns using 8D or other problem-solving techniques.
  • Support supplier APQP and supplier development and improvement.
  • Manage and report customer-specific Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to Reject PPM and Customer Action Request (CAR) performance.
  • Conduct internal and external audits.
  • Support launch activities through PPIR reports, Interim PSW, and alerts.
  • Monitor warranty acceptance rates and maintain response to pallets within identified timing.
  • Conduct negotiations to correct warranty billing.
  • Manage open warranty projects and maintain zero aged open current model projects.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in Quality Engineering in Automotive 1st Tier.
  • Degree, HND, HNC, IQA, or equivalent.
  • Previous plastics experience preferred.
  • Ideal exposure to Jaguar and Land Rover.
  • Experience of customer and automotive industry systems and procedures, including IATF16949, ISO9001, APQP, PPAP, etc.
  • Strong customer focus.
  • Analytical with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Good influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Flexible and adaptable.
