At Uniper, we are dedicated to enhancing the energy landscape while ensuring a reliable energy supply. We are currently seeking a skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to play a pivotal role in our UK and Swedish operations. This position is essential in assuring the quality that supports our business strategy and accelerates the energy transition.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Team Leader to ensure that work objectives are met across key performance indicators (KPIs) including safety, time, cost, quality, technical performance, and compliance.
  • Provide onsite support for Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) processes during project implementation, demonstrating value addition to meet business targets and maintain a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Engage in best practice sharing through networking and benchmarking with other functions to optimize business performance.
  • Utilize your stakeholder management skills to work with various Uniper functions, including Asset Operations and Procurement, to establish collaborative standards and enhance quality performance.
  • Ensure that all team operations adhere to internal and external audit standards, and develop action plans to address any identified deficiencies.
  • Lead the improvement of Quality Assurance through regular audits of work control management processes.
  • Ensure that projects comply with quality standards to minimize costs and maximize customer satisfaction.
  • Drive quality initiatives in collaboration with Uniper's functional organization and supply chains to ensure compliance and the highest standards of health, safety, security, environment, and quality (HSSEQ) performance.
  • Demonstrate a proactive approach in identifying effective methods to enhance technical, commercial, or procedural aspects of the role.
  • Support global business initiatives and policy developments to embed quality throughout the organization.

Your Profile

Essential Qualifications

  • An HNC or engineering degree, or equivalent qualifications in Project Management or Quality Assurance, with relevant experience in process plants.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems and Root Cause Analysis Techniques.
  • Understanding of health, safety, and environmental legislation, along with a positive mindset towards safety and quality, supported by a safety management qualification.
  • Proven experience in implementing Quality Assurance and Quality Control processes in a practical setting.
  • A track record of applying continuous improvement techniques to enhance management systems and processes.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across functions.
  • Interpersonal skills to foster effective working relationships with stakeholders.
  • Confidence to challenge established practices and propose innovative solutions.
  • A valid UK driver’s license.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Project management qualifications such as APMP or Prince 2.
  • Experience with SAP-based systems.
  • Knowledge of lean tools and experience in fast-paced environments.
