Systems DBA

Your role as a Systems DBA at Acis Group is to provide expert support and guidance on our core business systems, ensuring they are accurate, up-to-date, and meet the needs of our internal customers. You will be responsible for leading the design and delivery of relevant learning to our diverse workforce, with a focus on our Housing Management system and associated modules.
Key Responsibilities- Support and administer Acis Group's core business systems, including Housing Management, Asset Management, and Repairs Management systems.
- Design and deliver learning materials and training sessions for our workforce, focusing on system use and processes.
- Work closely with the IT systems team and business subject matter experts to ensure our people are suitably trained and have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their roles effectively.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and systems, enhancing quality and developing support improvement projects.
- Ensure all system users are kept up-to-date with relevant information and aware of any changes.
- Assist with the management of regular interfacing and exchange of data between core systems and modules.
- Monitor systems integration and perform testing of business/web systems/applications, identifying technical problems.
- Liaise with providers/partners on system development improvements and problem correction.
- Manage comprehensive test plans and technical documentation for user acceptance testing.
- Maintain security levels within information systems, ensuring access to relevant information for users.
- Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, including GDPR/data protection regulations.
- Share expertise within the IT Services team, promoting a shared knowledge and understanding of systems support.
- Work proactively to deliver a customer-focused support service, aligning with the approved IT strategy.
- Educated to degree level or equivalent relevant work experience, including training experience with an IT-related qualification.
- Substantial knowledge and experience of business systems/database and web technologies, including managing/developing/analysis/administration and reporting.
- Experience of delivering systems training in a formal or informal setting.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage with diverse audiences.
- Confident user of IT systems, with the ability to share knowledge and develop others' capabilities.
- Strong presentation and facilitation skills, with the ability to work with various audience sizes.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with creative problem-solving abilities.
- Able to deliver excellent face-to-face customer service to non-expert IT users.
- Experienced in creating technical and process documentation.
- Demonstrable practical experience of data manipulation, batch processing, SQL, Oracle, Progress database administration, web, SQL, HTML, Housing Management, and large database systems management.
- Able to work in an agile environment, with a resilient mindset and a willingness to adapt to change.
