Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our Community Paediatric Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the neurodevelopmental pathway for children under the age of 5, ensuring that the pathway is efficient and effective in supporting children to reach their potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with a range of health professionals to ensure that the pathway for children with neurodevelopmental delay is as efficient as it can be.
  • Ensure that children and families have access to a range of 'Early Help' services while waiting for a full assessment.
  • Contribute towards service and policy development and review.
  • Have a sound knowledge of child development and the current national and local agenda.
  • Be able to demonstrate an understanding of quality and risk.

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse – Child or Registered Adult Nurse with Health Visiting qualification.
  • Relevant degree level qualification.
  • Specialist Community Public Health Nurse – Health Visiting, School Nursing, Community Children's Nursing.
  • Recent post-registration experience in a specialist practitioner role working with children with neurodevelopmental issues such as ADHD and ASD.
