Job Summary

The Loom Technician will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our textile manufacturing equipment, including Rapier and Waterjet looms. This role requires a strong understanding of weaving processes and a keen eye for detail to maintain the highest quality levels and world-class OEE standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues to minimize downtime
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on looms and other textile equipment
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety practices and Company policies
  • Collaborate with the production team to achieve minimum downtime and maximum efficiency
  • Control the use of weaving spares and maintain accurate records
  • Perform other tasks as required to support the production department

Requirements

  • Experience working with Rapier and Waterjet looms
  • Excellent health and safety practices and knowledge
  • Reliable and enthusiastic team player with strong communication skills
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
  • Able to work to given tolerances and measurements
  • Organized and able to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Ability to communicate at all levels
  • Understanding of Kanban systems, standard work, and continuous skills development
  • Experience of following OEM manuals
