The Loom Technician will be responsible for diagnosing cloth and mechanical defects, completing minor repairs on all looms, and ensuring Standard Operating Procedures are followed. They will also assist with major overhauling, work as part of the production team to ensure minimum downtime, and maintain the highest possible levels of quality, efficiency, and maintenance.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Diagnosing and correcting cloth and mechanical defects
  • Completing minor repairs on all looms
  • Ensuring Standard Operating Procedures are followed
  • Assisting with major overhauling
  • Working as part of the production team to ensure minimum downtime
  • Maintaining the highest possible levels of quality, efficiency, and maintenance

Requirements include:

  • Experience and knowledge of working with Rapier and Waterjet looms
  • Excellent health and safety practices and knowledge
  • Reliable and enthusiastic
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
  • Able to work to given tolerances and measurements
  • An organised team player with strong communication skills
