About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Adult Social Care Lawyer to join our well-established team in a reputable local authority in London.

The successful candidate will work on an initial 3-month locum contract, with the potential to extend further. Office attendance is flexible and usually required twice per month. Fully remote working may be considered for the right candidate, depending on location and experience.

This role involves managing a mixed caseload of Adult Social Care matters, including:

  • Court of Protection (COP)
  • Ordinary Residence
  • Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DOLS)
  • Care Act
  • Mental Capacity Act

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of relevant legislation and case law, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a mixed caseload of Adult Social Care matters
  • Advise on Court of Protection (COP), Ordinary Residence, Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DOLS), Care Act, and Mental Capacity Act

Requirements:

  • Qualified solicitor with experience in Adult Social Care law
  • Strong understanding of relevant legislation and case law
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Salary Estimate:

The salary for this role is estimated to be around £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
